NAGAON: The Inspector of Schools, Nagaon has filed a complaint against three private educational institutions in the district for their alleged involvement in the mathematics question paper leak of the 1st year Higher Secondary examination 2025 today here.

The three institutions are Bogoriguri Advance Academy Higher Secondary School, Alpha-Beta Higher Secondary School, and S A S International Model School. According to sources, the institutions had opened the question paper packets a day before the examination, violating the rules. The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) had cancelled the mathematics paper of the 1st year Higher Secondary examination, 2025, after reports of question paper leak surfaced.

Following the cancellation, the AHSEC had directed the district administration to investigate the matter and take necessary action against the institutions involved.

The Nagaon district administration has filed a complaint against the three institutions at the Nagaon Police Station, and an investigation is underway.

The institutions have been barred from conducting any examination-related activities until the investigation is complete. Additionally, they will not be allowed to admit new students for the 2025-2026 academic session.

The AHSEC has taken strict action against the institutions to maintain the integrity of the examination process and prevent any further malpractices.
