Illegal wood and motor vehicle seized in Tamulpur

TAMULPUR: The department of forest, in cooperation with SSB, on Wednesday seized a huge quantity of illegal valuable wood from Bishnupur village under Kumarikata forest range office along the Indo-Bhutan border in the district of Baksa.

Following secret information, a team from the Kumarikata forest range office launched an operation in cooperation with SSB at Bishnupur village near Kawli and seized a huge quantity of illegal wood with a motor vehicle bearing registration number AS-01-X-7989 and nabbed one person, Latif Ali. The seized wood was taken to the Kumarikata forest range office with the vehicle and Latif Ali and investigation is going on in this matter.
