BONGAIGAON: Bongaigaon district will launch a Japanese Encephalitis (JE) vaccination campaign from January 19, 2026, targeting people aged 15 to 65 years. The 21-day campaign aims to vaccinate 4,05,610 people across the district. A preparatory meeting was held at the District Commissioner’s Office under the chairmanship of District Commissioner Dibakar Nath. The meeting was attended by Additional District Commissioner (Health) Dipan Barman, Assistant Commissioner Murchchana Malakar, Zilla Parishad President Mridula Singh, Joint Director of Health Services Dr Bolendra Narayan Deka, Additional Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr Mohibul Islam, District Immunization Officer Dr Binita Deka, block PHC medical officers, school inspectors, and other Health Department officials.
