LGBRIMH hosts Regional Conference 2026 on community mental health innovation

TEZPUR: The Regional Conference 2026, organized as part of the 150-year celebrations of the Lokopriya Gopinath Bordoloi Regional Institute of Mental Health (LGBRIMH), was held at the Institute Auditorium. The conference was jointly organized by the Department of Psychiatric Nursing, LGBRIMH, Tezpur, in collaboration with the Indian Society of Psychiatric Nurses (ISPN). The conference was centred on the theme, ‘Bridging the Community Mental Health Treatment Gap through Innovation: The 150-Year Journey of LGBRIMH,’ highlighting the pivotal role of psychiatric nursing in strengthening community-based mental health services.

On the occasion, a digital abstract book, comprising a compendium of theses and dissertations carried out at LGBRIMH between 2008 and 2025, was formally released. The conference also included concurrent scientific sessions, during which 10 research papers and 2 poster presentations were presented.
