KOKRAJHAR: Cabinet Minister of Soil Conservation, Sericulture and Welfare of Bodoland-UG Brahma today laid the main pillar of the historic 57th convention of the ABSU in the presence of ABSU president Dipen Boro, MLA Jiron Basumatary, EM Ukhil Mushahary and others at Bodofa Fwthar, Dotma in Kokrajhar district. 

The 57th convention of the central committee, ABSU and 56th convention of the Kokrajhar district committee, ABSU would be held in the same venue on March 13, 14, 15 and 16 at Bodofa Fwthar, Dotma, and the birth place of Bodofa UN Brahma. The programme was also attended by the Registrar of Bodoland University Dr. Subung Basumatary, principal of Kokrajhar Government College Dr. Dimacha Dwibrang Mashahary and leaders of ABSU. 

Talking to media persons, the Minister UG Brahma who is also the chairman of the Reception Committee said the historic convention of the ABSU at Bodofa Fwthar would be significant to resolve to work for the development of Bodo medium by overcoming all key problems. He said the Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma and many eminent personalities would be invited to the historic convention.
