Mobile Phone Thieves Arrested in Bongaigaon Railway Station

BONGAIGAON: The Government Railway Police of Bongaigaon on Monday nabbed two mobile phone thieves in Bongaigaon railway station. They have been identified as Raja Rajak, son of Ganesh Rajak, a resident of Kabarsthan area of Bongaigaon town, and Syamal Das, son of Rabin Das, resident of Palpara area of Bongaigaon town.

Pulakesh Rabha, OC, GRP, Bongaigaon said that both thieves had snatched a mobile phone from a passenger in the Dn Kamrup Express train. "The train was on the move and both thieves tried to run away from the platform. But our GRP personnel were on duty there and with the help of the public, succeeded to nab both. We registered a case in this regard and sent both for medical check-up," Rabha said.
