MORIGAON: The newly-elected 12 representatives of Morigaon Zilla Parishad (MZP) took oath in a solemn atmosphere in the meeting hall of MZP on Friday. The oath taking ceremony was held in presence of Minister of Information and Public Relation Pijush Hazarika, MLA Ramakanta Deuri, DC Anamika Tiwari, and the CEO of MZP Ananta Gogoi. The ruling BJP’s elected candidate Pranati Kalita Deka took oath as the President of Morigaon Zilla Parishad and Archana Patar as the Vice-President of the zilla parishad. Both the President and the Vice-President of MZP promised to work together with cooperation, transparency, and commitment for the overall development of the district. The meeting was also attended by Assam Youth Commission member and Assistant Observer Ratul Sharma and social worker Apurba Deka. Out of 12 ZPC seats, BJP bagged 8 in the Panchayat election.
