Nalbari unit of Ellora Vigyan Mancha organized seminar on Astrology

NALBARI: Nalbari unit of Ellora Vigyan Mancha organized a seminar on 'Astrology: Science or Pseudoscience' on Sunday at Asom Valley Academy, Nalbari.

"Astrologer's prediction is always vague and astrology is merely a pseudoscience," said retired deputy director of NIC Dipak Goswami while delivering his speech on the topic. He added that astronomy and astrology were born at the same time. But astronomy reached the peak while astrology remained at the beginning. The theory of astrology is not practical and universal. Dr Dinamani Bhagabati, retired professor of Nalbari College inaugurated the seminar. Noted paediatrician Dr Pranab Kumar Sarma, Principal of Axom Valley Academy Anupam Barma Majumdar and Pranabjyoti Deka also delivered their speeches on the importance of donating the human body for the uplifting of medical science. Dr Manoranjan Drama, the president of the Nalbari unit of ElloraVigyan Mancha conducted the seminar. Many people of the district participated in the seminar.
