New branch of Canara Bank inaugurated at Haflong near NCHAC Secretariat

Haflong: The Chief Executive Member of NC Hills Autonomous Council (NCHAC) Debolal Gorlosa inaugurated a new branch of Canara Bank at Haflong near NCHAC Secretariat on Friday. Floral tributes were paid at the beautifully decorated portrait of Ammembal Subbarao Pai, the founder of Canara Bank by chief guest Gorlosa and others.

The inaugural ceremony was attended by Nipolal Hojai, Executive Member of N C Hills Autonomous Council, A Manimekhalai, Executive Director of the bank,, Ditul Kumar Baruah, Manager of Haflong branch of the bank and others.

CEM Gorlosa in his speech appreciated the Canara Bank authority for opening the branch and assured that the NCHAC would extend its helping hand towards the bank but at the same he also requested the bank authority to provide customer-friendly services to the people. He further requested the bank authority to open branches at Umrangso, Khepre, and Dehangi also.

A Manimekhalai, Pranay Ranjan Deo, DGM & Circle Head (Guwahati) also spoke on the occasion highlighting the success and the business policy of the bank terming it as the fourth largest bank of the country and Haflong branch being the 77th branch in the Northeast.

Earlier, Sanjay Kumar Debral, AGM Regional Office, Tezpur, while welcoming the guests and other prominent people of Haflong, explained the aims and objectives of establishing the branch here at Haflong.
