GAURISAGAR: Bhula Baruah, noted educationist, former assistant teacher of Gaurisagar Higher Secondary Industrial Institute and a resident of Gaurisagar in Sivasagar district passed away at a private hospital on Thusday due to respiratory disorder. He was 93. He was known as a very gentleman and taught the students with a smile and made them interested in the subject .The former students has expressed their deep sorrow over the passing away of their beloved teacher who always celebrated life with a positive outlook and advised others to live positively.He got superannuation in 1996 and was honored by the Gaurisagar Press Club at its Silver Jubilee celebrations in 2021 as a sign of gratitude for his contribution to the Gaurisagar intellectual community. Before cremation a sharddanjali function was held. Prominent literary figure Jibon Krishna Goswami anchored it. Various organizations like Gaurisagar Higher Secondary Industrial Institute, Boidik Vaishnava Samaj, Gaurisagar Barnamghar Samaj, Gaurisagar Bibasayee Santha, Gaurisagar Press Club, Gaurisagar Senior Citizens Forum, Gaurisagar Central Public Hall, Sarbajanin Puja Mandir, Srimonta foudation, Guwahati, AYUSH,Triluchan Sanskritic Mancha among others paid floral tribute his body. He is survived by his wife, two sons, one daughter and a host of relatives.
