Numaligarh’s well-known figure Belarani Acharya passes away

BOKAKHAT: Belarani Acharya (88 years), a resident of Kuruwabahi Tiniali in Numaligarh, passed away on Friday night. She is survived by two sons and one daughter. Belarani, mother of Secretary of the Bokakhat Sub-Divisional Journalists’ Association Neelu Acharya, was a socially well-known and loved figure who had been suffering from illness for a long time.

As her condition deteriorated further on Friday night, she was immediately admitted to Bokakhat Shaheed Kamala Miri Civil Hospital, where doctors declared her dead. Upon hearing the news of her death, many admirers gathered to pay their respects.

Various local organizations, individuals, and dignitaries, including Jitu Sharma Rajkhowa, President of the Assam State Journalists’ Association, and representatives of the Bokakhat Sub-Divisional Journalists’ Association, offered their final tributes. Bokakhat MLA and senior Minister Atul Bora also expressed deep sorrow over her passing.
