Obituary: Manash Mohan Borah

Manash Mohan Borah (40 years), Sub-Manager (Revenue), Tingkhong Electrical sub-division of Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL), met an untimely death a few days back. He was in coma for four days at the Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH), Dibrugarh following a road accident in the city. Floral tributes were paid to him at the office of the APDCL, Dibrugarh Circle. His last rites were performed at his ancestral home at Lahing, Jorhat. A popular, skilled and dedicated official of APDCL, Borah previously served at Gohpur, Baihata Chariali, Nazira, and Dibrugarh. Milijuli Moina Parijat, Dibrugarh, Assam Power Engineers’ Association (APEA), Assam State Electricity Board, Jorhat division, Pub Jorhat Anchalik Moina Parijat, and SI Foundation for Media & Social Welfare, Assam (SIFMSWA), expressed their condolences on Borah’s death. He was the only son of Kula Borah, a retired teacher and Bonti Bora of Lahing Noi-Siporia village, Jorhat. Besides, he is survived by his wife, a son, a daughter, and other relatives. Preparation for publishing a booklet Manash-Smaran in memory of Borah, a people-friendly personality, is underway in connection with his Adyashraddha to be solemnized on July 30.
