Obituary: Noted guitarist Souravjyoti Choudhury

Noted guitarist of Barpeta Gandhinagar, Souravjyoti Choudhury (41) is no more. He was a junior assistant in the Barpeta Zila Parishad. He had been suffering from various diseases including diarrhoea for the last few months. When his condition deteriorated, he was admitted in Dispur Hospital, Guwahati on June 15. He was undergoing treatment there during the last 18 days. Manoj Sikaria, CEO of the Barpeta Zila Parishad, Pramath Ranjan Kanti and Ashok Kr Das of Kalaguru Foundation have mourned the demise of the noted guitarist of Barpeta. Late Souravjyoti Choudhury has left behind his wife, a small girl child, his parents, elder brother. In his demise, Barpeta has lost a gentle and great instrumentalist.
