Piramal Foundation Launches Intensified 100-Day TB Campaign in Dima Hasao in Collaboration with NTEP

The Piramal Foundation, in collaboration with the NTEP, has launched an intensified 100-day TB campaign to reach vulnerable population at Pangmol Village under Mahur Block in Dima Hasao on Thursday.

Haflong: The Piramal Foundation, in collaboration with the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP), has launched an intensified 100-day TB campaign to reach vulnerable population at Pangmol Village under Mahur Block in Dima Hasao on Thursday.

As part of the campaign, Karuna Fellows conducted health screenings, including tests for blood sugar, blood pressure, weight, and haemoglobin levels. Vulnerable individuals identified among the resumptive population were referred to the nearest medical facility for further diagnostics, such as X-rays, and subsequent treatment. 

The campaign saw active participation from various community stakeholders, including the Gaon Bura,the Headmaster of Pangmol ME School, school staff, and community members. 

This initiative highlights the importance of community engagement and early detection in addressing both tuberculosis and other health vulnerabilities. The collaborative efforts of the Piramal Foundation, NTEP, and local stakeholders aim to ensure timely interventions and improve overall health outcomes in the future.

 Bijoy, DPC (NTEP) - Mark, DPO (Piramal Foundation)  -Haiseyile, Karuna Fellow  - Paulungyile, Karuna Fellow  - Hoinumnem, Karuna Fellow  were key organisers of the event.

The  Campaign was participated by 87 individuals out of which 34 tested case were detected including 3 high blood sugar patients, 4 high blood pressure and 4 Anaemia cases.
