BOKO: There are mixed reactions in Garo tribal inhabited places in Kamrup district after the mysterious death of Samuel Sangma and his cousin Rosey Sangma in Gurugram, Haryana last month. People are protesting for justice.

Youths of Kinangaon and neighboring Garo tribal inhabited villages on Thursday night took out a candlelight protest and paid condolence in the Kinangaon ME School premises. Youths shouted slogans and displayed placards during the protest. Youths have urged Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma to order investigation into the incident as he is also the convener of the North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA).

On the other hand, Garo National Council (GNC) and other sister organizations took out a protest rally on Friday seeking justice for the victims. They condemned the incident and requested the Central Government to take necessary action in the matter as soon as possible. Anindra U. Marak, GNC Kamrup district president, said that they would intensify their protest if the Central Government 'betrayed' the people of the Northeast by ignoring the matter.
