BONGAIGAON: A Railway Protection Force (RPF) constable saved a passenger's life on Wednesday night.

Ateesh Yadav, originally from Uttar Pradesh and presently working at New Bongaigaon Railway station as a RPF constable, saved a passenger's life. As per sources, the 05802 Manas Rhino passenger train from Guwahati to New Bongaigaon arrived at Bongaigaon Railway Station at 9.45 PM on Wednesday. When the train started moving again, a passenger fell down while trying to get onto the train while it was moving.

Railway Protection Force (RPF) constable Ateesh Yadav was on duty there and he ran immediately to the passenger and saved his life by pulling him aside. The whole incident was recorded on the CCTV in the platform. The bravery of the constable was appreciated by all staff and passengers. Anshul Gupta, General Manager of NF Railway, also appreciated Ateesh Yavav through his official Twitter handle.
