State-level Acharya training camp concludes at Bilasipara

DHUBRI: The state-level Acharya training camp which had commenced on July 3 at Bilasipara Sankardev Shishu Vidya Niketan, concluded on July 18. Secretary of Shishu Shiksha Samiti, Assam, Jagannath Rajbongshi, attended the closing ceremony as the chief guest.

In his address, he stated that the Acharyas (teachers) must uphold and carry forward the values and ideals with which the Sankardev Shishu and Vidya Niketan institutions were established, and that they should also integrate modern technology into their teaching methodologies. A total of 119 Acharyas from districts including Bongaigaon, Sivasagar, Lakhimpur, Kamrup, Goalpara, Baksa, Chirang, Kokrajhar, Tamulpur, Bajali, Dhubri, Nalbari, and South Salmara participated in this training camp.

The closing session was presided over by the President of the managing committee of Bilasipara Sankardev Shishu and Vidya Niketan, Dr Haricharan Das. He expressed his gratitude to all the Acharyas who came from different parts of Assam for training in Bilasipara. He also extended heartfelt thanks to the training heads, resource persons from across India, and the Acharyas and staff of the host institution for making the camp a success.

During a training camp session, a nature-based organization, Arany Suraksha Samiti, Assam, working relentlessly for conservation of nature and it’s bio-diversity, brought out a magazine ‘Seuj’ dedicated for conservation of indigenous species of fishes with the slogan, ‘Wherever there is open water, let us release fingerlings there.’
