SIVASAGAR, Sept 5: The police arrested two persons involved in the mob-attack incident of a man from Bihar at Dikhowmukh Teliadunga in Sivasagar district. According to sources, the Gaurisagar Police arrested two persons, identified as Amal Neog and Manik Taye. Amal Neog's house is in Namdang Sila Saku and Manik Taye's house is in Dikhowmukh Teliadunga.

Sunil Kumar, a man from Bihar, was beaten up by an agitated mob on suspicion of being a child kidnapper (Supadhora) on the night of August 30.

Even several policemen who had gone to the rescue of Sunil Kumar were targeted by a section of people. Amal Neog and Manik Taye, who were involved in the incident, were arrested under Sections 147/148/149/325/506/353 of the Indian Penal Code.

According to sources, Sunil Kumar, who was seriously injured in the mob attack, was admitted to Sivasagar Civil Hospital the same day. Sunil Kumar's actual address was found on Thursday and managed to get in touch with his family. Sunil Kumar of Dorbhanga in Bihar, who is suffering from mental illness, has already been handed over to his family by the police.
