Under ATTSA, central committee, 2-hour Protest held in Demow
Under the instruction of ATTSA, central committee, a two-hour protest programme was held in front of the office of Rajmai Tea Estate on Monday in support of their various demands.
DEMOW: Under the instruction of ATTSA, central committee, a two-hour protest programme was held in front of the office of Rajmai Tea Estate on Monday in support of their various demands. The protest programme was also held in Rajabari, Rajmai, Athabari, Khongia, Thowra, Krishna Bihari and in Mohkhuti Tea Estate on Monday. Their demands were appointment of doctors in tea garden, emergency ambulance to be provided, development of infrastructure of the hospital, repairing of tea labourers’ houses, release of tea labourers’ PF etc. Later, they had submitted a memorandum to the manager of Rajmai Tea Estate. A copy of the memorandum was also submitted to the Assistant Labour Commissioner Sivasagar and Demow Circle Officer on Monday.
