RANGIA: Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) 24 Bn camped at Hahara Rangia has been carrying out various Civic Action Programmes in the north-eastern region in its area of responsibility covering Baksa and Udalguri districts of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), helping poor families of the Indo-Bhutan border.

In continuing its efforts and keeping in view the water scarcity in the border area, 24 Bn SSB Rangia distributed 14 water Sintex tanks to seven adopted schools and seven poor and needy families under Civic Action Programme, in the presence of Hrishikesh Sharma, Commandant, 24 Bn SSB Rangia, Deepak Sahi, Deputy Commandant, other officers of 24 Bn SSB, Principals and headmasters of the schools and local prominent leaders of Rajagah and Nalapara areas. A cultural programme was also organized by the school students from Nalapara and Rajagarh during the distribution ceremony. In this programme, 50 LED bulbs to 25 poor villagers residing near the Indo-Bhutan border under community welfare programme were also distributed. During this distribution ceremony, Hrishikesh Sharma, Commandant, told the gathering about the various welfare schemes being implemented by the Central Government.
