Webinar held on issues related to Assamese language through Google Meet

JAMUGURIHAT: The Char-Chapori Bhasa Bikash sub-committee of Axam Xahitya Xabha had organized a webinar through Google Meet platform on issues related to the Assamese language, with Abedur Rahman; working president of Char-Chapori Bhasa Bikash sub-committee, in the chair recently.

Jadab Chandra Sarma, chief secretary of Axam Xahitya Xabha, Dr. Abdul Kuddush Sikdar, Nur Hussain along with other officer bearers participated in the webinar. Notably, an issue related to the mother tongue of char-chapori was discussed vividly.

Samagra Siksha, Assam has initiated a project named 'Learning to Learn'. The students studying in government schools in char areas have faced a problem as to which language they should write in the column of 'home language'. There is no fixed and recognized dwan or dialect for char areas. In this condition, the webinar was organized to create a consensus in favour of the Assamese language. Chief secretary of the literary organization, Jadab Chandra Sarma praised the initiative taken by the sub-committee and made a humble request to all concerned to write Assamese as home language in the column.
