BSF, BGB of Bangladesh Conference Starts in Shillong

Shillong: The Inspectors General-Region Commanders Conference between BSF and BGB of Bangladesh organized by BSF Frontier HQ Shillong, Meghalaya, got underway here on Tuesday. The conference is being attended by a 12-member Bangladesh delegation headed by Md Zakir Hossain, Additional Director General, Region Commander, North East Region Sarail along with senior officers of Bangladesh ministries. The Indian delegation is headed by Kuldeep Saini, IG BSF, Meghalaya Frontier.

The conference is held bi-annually between the two border guarding forces to discuss issues related to maintaining peace and tranquillity along the border. The Bangladesh delegation was extended a warm welcome at Dawki and further at BSF FTR HQ Umpling. The delegation will remain in India for 4 days. During their stay, the delegation will also be taken to various historical places in Shillong and Guwahati.
