CSWO President Agnes Kharshiing reportedly gets Discharged from NEIGRIHMS

Shillong: Civil Society leader and President of CSWO in Meghalaya, Kong Agnes Kharshiing reportedly got discharged today at about 12 pm noon from North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS) in Shillong.

As per reports, Agnes Kharshiing was advice to be in Shillong until further medical assessment and advice.

According to the medical bulletin issued by the North Eastern Indira Gandhi Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS), Kharshiing regains consciousness on the November 13.

“Doctors also extubated her and she was doing quite well out of the ventilator, she was stable and out of danger,” claimed the NEIGRIHMS authority earlier.

It is to be noted that Kong Agnes Kharshiing was admitted in the Intensive Care Unit of NEIGRIHMS in an unconscious state on November 8.

The brutal and murderous attack upon the social right activist and CSWO President Agnes Kharshiing and her fellow activist Amita Sangma was condemned by Meghalaya Government and many other Civil organisations in the state.

MDA Government also condemned the attack in Jaintia Hills also stated that they have issued necessary directions to the police and district administration to investigate the matter and arrest those behind the attack.

Also, Federation of 13 plus Workers Unions of Meghalaya condemned the attack on both the social activists in the state.

It may also be mentioned that after month Meghalaya police managed to arrest six people in connection with the brutal attack upon Agnes Kharshiing and Amita Kharshiing.
