Hill Farmers' union formed a committee to help farmers in view of lockdown

SHILLONG: The Hill Farmers' Union (HFU) has formed a committee to help farmers in view of the ongoing lockdown. The committee will also share suggestions to the State government on how to help farmers and come out with a special policy that would benefit the farmers. HFU president Commander Shangpliang said that members of the committee comprises of chairman of the Meghalaya Industrial Development Corporation, president of SPIKAP & Federation of Khasi States, CEO of NABARD Foundation, general manager of NABARD, Shillong and others.
