Honeymoon murder: Police arrest owner of Indore flat where Sonam stayed after fleeing Meghalaya

Lokendra Singh Tomar, landlord of the flat where Sonam hid in Indore, was arrested from Gwalior following SIT’s request, informed SP Vivek Syiem.

SHILLONG: Superintendent of Police East Khasi Hills Vivek Syiem on Monday informed that Lokendra Singh Tomar, a resident of Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, was apprehended from Gwalior, following a request from SIT to Gwalior Police. He is the landlord of the flat at Dewas Naka where Sonam had taken shelter while hiding in Indore.  

The accused had reportedly left Madhya Pradesh on June 16 and travelled to Uttarakhand before returning to Gwalior on June 22. A splinter team of the SIT is currently en route from Indore to Gwalior to formally arrest him.

“Presently, a splinter team of SIT is proceeding from Indore to Gwalior to formally arrest the accused person, where he will then be produced before court in Gwalior for transit remand,” Syiem said.
