SHILLONG: Meghalaya in the last 24-hours recorded nine COVID-19 deaths taking the total number of fatalities to 678. Of the nine COVID-19 deaths, East Khasi Hills recorded six, West Khasi Hills registered two, and West Jaintia Hills one.

It is to be mentioned that, on Tuesday, the State again registered more recovered cases than fresh infections. Director of Health Services (MI), Dr Aman War informed that the State recorded 773 recoveries and 379 infections on Tuesday. With the latest figures, the state now has 4,924 active cases and a total of 33,933 have so far recovered from the virus..
