SHILLONG: Meghalaya, on Thursday, registered 29 new COVID-19 cases, which further decreased the tally of active cases to 391, said the health department in a bulletin.

Meanwhile, the state also records 21 new recovered cases in last 24 hours, with this the total recovered cases reaches 81916. No new deaths were recorded today and the total number of fatalities from COVID-19 infection stands at 1,456 so far. New COVID-19 cases includes East Khasi Hills: 23; Ri Bhoi: 2; West Garo Hlls: 2; and West Khasi Hills: 2. The recovered patients today are from East Khasi Hills: 11; Ri Bhoi: 1, South West Khasi Hills: 1; West Jaintia Hills: 5; and West Khasi Hills: 1.
