Meghalaya Police launched COVID-19 fake news verification portal

SHILLONG: Meghalaya Police has launched a CoVID-19 fake news verification portal where the public can verify the authenticity of news/articles being shared on social media and other mediums pertaining to the virus.

Information seekers on successfully completing the application will receive an acknowledgment SMS indicating the completion of the application. After the information has been verified, the applicant will be intimated regarding the authenticity of the news/ information through SMS and through email.
