SHILLONG: Meghalaya on Sunday recorded four more COVID-19 fatalities and 118 new cases while 214 people have recovered from the virus.

According to health authorities, all the four new deaths recorded were not vaccinated and East Khasi Hills district and West Jaintia Hills district recorded two deaths each. With the latest figures, the State recorded 1,356 total deaths, 1,813 total active cases and 74,964 total recovered cases.

Of the 118 new cases East Khasi Hills district recorded 63, West Jaintia Hills district 24, West Khasi Hills district 10, West Garo Hills district eight, Ri-Bhoi district four, East Jaintia Hills district and South West Khasi Hills district recorded three cases each, North Garo Hills district, South Garo Hills district and South West Garo Hills district recorded one case each.

The district wise distribution of active cases in the state are – East Khasi Hills district 831, West Khasi Hills district 365, West Jaintia Hills district 220, Ri-Bhoi district 156, South West Khasi Hills district 96, West Garo Hills district 77, East Jaintia Hills district 31, East Garo Hills district and North Garo Hills district 12 cases each, South West Garo Hills district 10 and South Garo Hills district three cases.
