SHILLONG: Meghalaya on Monday recorded more recovered cases than fresh one. According to Director of Health Services (MI), Dr. Aman War, the State recorded 30 new recoveries and three fresh cases.

As on date, while the State has 199 active cases, the total recovered cases stands at 13,042.

Of the 30 persons who recovered from the virus during the last 24 hours, 26 were recorded in East Khasi Hills (Armed & paramilitary forces: seven; civilians: 19); three in East Garo Hills; and one in South West Garo Hills district.

Of the three new cases, two were reported from East Khasi Hills and one from East Garo Hills district.

East Khasi Hills remains the most affected district with 140 active cases of which 11 are from the armed & paramilitary forces and 129 are civilians.

Of the 2, 89, 092 persons tested for COVID-19 till date, as many as 2, 75, 713 tested negative for the virus. The State has 15 containment zones and the case fatality rate is 1.03 per cent.

The number of entrants into the State from outside Meghalaya till date is 76, 926, added Dr War.
