SHILLONG: The number of COVID-19 fatalities since the pandemic started in 2020 has touched 1,450 with the State recording one more death on Sunday. Health authorities informed that the deceased person had not been vaccinated.

The State also recorded 22 new cases and 51 people recovered from the virus. With the latest figures, the state now has 431 total active cases and 81746 total recovered cases. Of the 22 new cases, East Khasi Hills district recorded 14, West Garo Hills district three, West Khasi Hills district two, North Garo Hills district, Ri-Bhoi district and West Jaintia Hills district recorded one cases each.
