Proposing names of CEM for both KHADC and JHADC start in Shillong

SHILLONG: Three political parties in the state which includes the Congress, United Democratic Party (UDP) and National People’s Party (NPP) have already started to discuss the idea of proposing the name of the CEM for both the KHADC and JHADC. Concerning the KHADC, party sources informed that the discussion has been going on to put in place before hand the name of a CEM candidate and discussion was also held between party leaders.

According to sources, the Congress has already identified Mylliem candidate and form MLA and Minister RV Lyngdoh as a CEM candidate in the KHADC. It may be mentioned that Lyngdoh will be contesting the MDC election from Mylliem against Deputy CEM of KHADC and PDF candidate Teilinia Thangkhiew. Regarding UDP, it is learned that the party might suggest the name of former MLA and MDC candidate from Jaiaw constituency Paul Lyngdoh as a CEM candidate.

Lyngdoh will be contesting the MDC election against former KSU leader from the Congress Auguster Jyrwa. Meanwhile, the NPP has three prospect candidates for the position of CEM at KHADC one being Jansing Tynsong from Langkyrdem – Laitkroh constituency, former CEM who had recently joined the party PN Syiem who will be contesting the election from Mawkhar-Pynthorumkhrah constituency and present CEM SH Shylla from Nongkrem constituency, however the party has yet to announce the name of Shylla to contest the polls.
