South Shillong MLA Sanbor Shullai distributes free ration in view of lockdown

SHILLONG: South Shillong MLA Sanbor Shullai distributed free ration to more than 8,000 registered beneficiaries in collaboration with the Dorbar Shnong, Village Councils and NGOs within the Cantonment Area and the Municipal Area under his constituency.

The distribution camps divided into 13 different zones were successfully implemented. In crowded locations, the distribution was made in the door-to-door method by volunteers.

The local MLA during his visit to the entire zone has assured the people of 19th South Shillong that in the second phase the BPL families as recommended by local MLA 19th South Shillong will be ioncluded.

“This will provide the much-needed relief to the distress caused by continuity of lockdown caused by COVID-19,” he said.
