Assam Rifles conducts lecture on girl child

AIZAWL: Lunglei Battalion of Headquarter 23 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarter Inspector General Assam Rifles (East), conducted a lecture on 'International Girl Child Day' at Zochachhua and Tuipang village on Monday. A total of 25 locals of Zochachhua and 30 locals of Tuipang village attended the lecture.

International Girl Child Day 2021 is celebrated every year on October 11. The aim of the lecture was to mark the importance of adolescent girl children and attempt at identifying their power and potential by opening opportunities for them and amplifying and empowering the voices of adolescent girls around the nation, stated a press release.
