Assam Rifles conducts lecture on how to join forces in Aizawl

AIZAWL: Lunglei Battalion Assam Rifles of 23 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarter Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) conducted a lecture on 'How to Join Army/Assam Rifles and Other CAPFS' at Parva Village on Saturday. The lecture aimed to brief the youths about the role of defence forces, various entrance/examinations, eligibility in respect of qualification/age, the procedure to apply, duration of the training, pay/privileges/facilities and opportunities. A total of 31 students/youth attended the lecture. While interacting with the students it is observed that many of them are keen to join forces but due to lack of knowledge about the eligibility and means to apply for entrance examination they are not able to utilize the opportunity, stated a release.
