Assam Rifles conducts Medical camp at Hmawngbu, Lawngtlai District, Mizoram

LAWNGTLAI: The Lunglei Battalion of Headquarter 23 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarter Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) conducted a 'Medical Camp' at Hmawngbu, Lawngtlai district, Mizoram on August 11.

The aim of the medical camp was to provide free medical treatment to the local populace by a specially constituted medical team of this unit. The team examined 64 patients besides distributing free medicines to the needy locals.

Apart from providing medical assistance, basic knowledge on health education including precaution from common viral disease like Malaria was also imparted. Emphasis on importance of hygiene and sanitation were explained to the villagers for better living standard. The local populace have expressed their gratitude towards the Battalion and appreciated the efforts made by Assam Rifles for the cause of the society, stated a press release.
