Assam Rifles hold awareness rally on COVID-19 in Mizoram

AIZAWL: In view of the COVID-19 outbreak, the Serchhip Battalion of Assam Rifles (AR) under the aegis of 23 Sector Assam Rifles/ Inspector General of Assam Rifles organised an 'Awareness Rally on COVID-19' at Ngur village on Monday.

The aim of this rally was to generate awareness in the locals about COVID-19. The awareness mentioned the symptoms of COVID-19 to rightly detect the disease in early stages, also the precautionary measures such as maintaining social distancing, regular hand wash to be incorporated in day to day life and urging people to stay at home.

The rally focused on the precautionary measures and the 'Do's and Don'ts' against COVID-19 to avoid any loss of life. The rally was attended by 40 person of Ngur village including VCP, women and children. The Champhai Company of Assam Rifles extended its support and distributed dry ration and essential commodities to the needy people of the village. The village authorities assured their support to fight against COVID-19, stated a release.
