
HNAHLAN: In a major step towards empowering youth and fostering stronger community ties, the Assam Rifles has inaugurated a fully equipped library within its camp premises at Hnahlan village in Mizoram.
The initiative aims to provide students of this border village with better access to books, learning resources, and a conducive environment for reading and self-study.
The inauguration ceremony drew enthusiastic participation from the local community. Special guests included the President and Secretary of the Young Mizo Association (YMA) of Hnahlan, along with 30 students from three schools and 10 teachers, including three principals. Their presence reflected the strong partnership between the Force and local educational institutions.
Following the ceremony, guests, students, and teachers were given a guided tour of the facility. The library houses a diverse collection of books, ranging from academic references to literature, biographies, and competitive exam preparation material. Teachers praised the initiative, highlighting that the library will serve as an important academic support system, especially for students preparing for higher education, stated a press release.
