Assam Rifles Recovers Methamphetamine Tablets in Mizoram

AIZAWL: In a major success in its crusade against smuggling activities, the Serchhip Battalion of HQ 23 Sector Assam Rifles recovered methamphetamine tablets in the jungle area of Zote in Mizoram on Monday. The operation was carried out by a team of Assam Rifles and Customs Department, Champhai District based on specific information. The approximate value of the recovered methamphetamine tablets is Rs 18,05,000. A

Ongoing smuggling of illegal goods is a major cause of concern for the State of Mizoram. Assam Rifles, rightly christened as the 'Sentinels of Northeast' have been successful in launching such operations against the smuggling activities in Mizoram.
