Mizoram: Assam Rifles Seizes 7,000 Detonators in Major Operation

AIZAWL: Acting on specific intelligence, a joint team of the Assam Rifles and representatives from the Aizawl Police Station conducted a late-night search operation in the Chanmari area during the intervening night of July 11 and 12. Upon reaching the suspected location, the team placed the house under surveillance. Once the presence of contraband was confirmed, a search was carried out, leading to the recovery of 7,000 detonators from an individual in Chanmari, Aizawl. The recovered explosives and the individual have been handed over to the Aizawl Police Station for further investigation, stated a press release.
