AIZAWL: Mizoram's Laldinsanga scripted history last night as he won the most coveted WBC Youth World title after defeating Ghanaian boxer Michael Decardi Nelson in a thrilling contest. The championship bout was held in Bengaluru and marked a significant milestone in the young boxer's career.

Originating from Lunglei Ramthar in Mizoram, Laldinsanga fought with exceptional skill and poise. He dominated the contest from the get-go, controlling the tempo of the fight with deft footwork and strong combinations. Laldinsanga maintained his undefeated professional record at 9-0 owing to his tenacity and tactical accuracy, which allowed him to win covinvingly despite Nelson's forceful attempts to push him.
