The matter came to light when the girl refuses to go to school. When the mother asked about the reason, the girl apprised her of one teacher named Kamala Kanta Sinha who allegedly sexually abused her repeatedly.
Following the complaint, the police arrested Sinha, under section 376AB of the Indian Penal Code (sexually assaulting females under twelve years of age) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012.
