Mizoram registers 10 more Covid-19 positive cases, total surges to 131

So far, as many as 9 Covid-19 patients in Mizoram have been discharged after recovering from the virus

Guwahati: 10 more Covid-19 positive cases, 4 male and 6 female, have been detected in Mizoram on Saturday, taking the total number of cases skyrocketing upwards to 31. As many as 9 patients have been discharged so far after receiving treatment.

Government officials said that out of 954 samples processed at the Zoram Medical College (ZMC) laboratory yesterday, 10 samples were found to be positive. 760 samples tested negative and result for 184 samples are awaited. Of these new cases, 4 are from Mamit, 3 from Champhai, 2 from Serchhip, and 1 from the Khawzawl district.

"3 are returnees from Delhi, 7 from Maharashtra, between the patients are aged 8-46. 9 asymptomatic persons are under institutional quarantine while 1 with symptoms is an inpatient at Dedicated COVID Health Centre (DCHC)", officials said.
