Mizoram: Two more tests COVID positive, state's tally rises to 4,184 cases

The COVID-19 tally of Mizoram is 4,184. However, there are 127 positive cases in the state. The infection rate in Mizoram is 2.40 per cent.

Aizwal: Two more persons in Mizoram tested positive for novel coronavirus in Mizoram. Out of two, one is an eight-month-old baby, while the other one is a nurse at Lawngtlai hospital in Mizoram. The total cases tally of Mizoram is 4,184 as of now. The two new cases were detected in Lawngtlai district through Rapid Antigen Test (RAT).

Both patients have symptoms of COVID-19.

Currently, the number of active cases in Mizoram is 127. Aizwal has 64 cases, Lunglei has 31 cases, Lawngtlai has 11 cases, Serchhip has four cases, Kolasib has eight cases, Champhai has four cases, Saitual has two cases, and Hnahthial has three cases.

The only three districts that are COVID-19 free in Mizoram are Mamit, Siaha, and Khwazawl districts.

As many as eight people lost their lives due to COVID-19 in Mizoram. 4,049 people in Mizoram have recovered from the deadly virus. Till today, 1,76,234 samples have been tested for coronavirus in Mizoram. 103 tests were carried out on Sunday. The recovery rate of COVID-19 in the state is 96.78 per cent, while the infection rate is 2.40 per cent.

While in Assam, there are 3,356 active COVID-19 cases. The total tally of COVID-19 cases in the state is 2,11,546, out of which 2,15,939 recovered from the virus. 1,037 people lost their lives due to the deadly virus.

In Meghalaya, the total COVID-19 cases are 13,376, out of which 226 are active COVID cases. 13,012 people recovered from COVID-19 virus, while 138 people lost their lives.

Nagaland has 11,897 confirmed cases of COVID-19. However, 11,568 people have recovered from the disease. There are only 251 coronavirus positive cases in Nagaland. 78 people lost their lives in Nagaland, due to COVID-19.

In Arunachal Pradesh, there are 16,689 COVID confirmed cases, however, only 130 cases are active in the state.
