DIMAPUR: A new daily flight service from Delhi to Guwahati to Dimapur will be launched by Air India Express on January 1. The new service would improve connectivity and comfort between the major Indian cities.
The Airbus A 320 aircraft will depart from Delhi at 10:25 a.m. The aircraft will stop over for 35 minutes in Guwahati and then fly to Dimapur and reach that destination at 2:40 p.m. On the return leg, it will take off from Dimapur by 3:20 p.m., make a brief stopover at Guwahati, and land at Delhi by 7:40 p.m.
The new service forms part of the expansion of the flight operations by Air India Express in the Northeast region, increasing services from Guwahati, Agartala, and Imphal. The airline had earlier announced the enhancements in its winter schedule for 2024.
By providing more flight options, Air India Express is making it easier for travelers to access Northeast India, while also positioning Guwahati as an essential hub for connecting the region with other parts of the country. This move is expected to improve travel convenience for passengers and stimulate the region’s connectivity with major cities in India.
Air India Express’ daily flights between these cities are anticipated to cater to both business and leisure travelers, strengthening air transport in the Northeast.
