GUWAHATI: The revised train schedule will be implemented by the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) from January 1 onwards. Numerous adjustments have been made to the timetable in order to improve connectivity, improve passenger convenience, and streamline operations throughout the region.
The new schedule's speeding up of 43 trains, which drastically reduces travel time on important routes, is one of its main benefits. For example, the Kamakhya-Gomti Nagar Express (Train No. 15077) will save 75 minutes, and the SMVT Bengaluru-New Tinsukia Express (Train No. 22501) would now be 120 minutes faster.
Likewise, the Dibrugarh-Howrah Express (Train No. 15962) will take 60 minutes less to reach its destination. These changes demonstrates NFR's dedication to offering passengers quicker and more effective services.
To better suit the needs of passengers, the schedules of 24 express trains have also been adjusted. For instance, the Silchar-Thiruvananthapuram Central Express (Train No. 12508) will depart from Silchar at 7:30 pm, while the New Jalpaiguri - New Delhi Express (Train No. 12523) will now leave New Jalpaiguri at 8:45 am.
In addition, 23 DEMU trains and 16 intra-zonal mail/express trains have been upgraded for the convenience of the passengers. The goal of these adjustments is to enhance connectivity and ensure that travelers enjoy a seamless travel experience.
An official statement mentions that the new schedule's modifications are intended to enhance operations, increase connectivity, and successfully meet the needs of the passengers. The IRCTC website and NF Railway's social media accounts provide information about these trains' stoppages and schedules. Before starting their trip, passengers are asked to verify the details.
