GANGTOK: Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang welcomed the Union Budget 2025-26, calling it inclusive and transformative. He believes the budget plays a crucial role in achieving the vision of a developed India.

Presented by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, the budget focuses on growth, inclusion, and economic empowerment. CM Tamang appreciated its emphasis on uplifting marginalized communities, supporting youth development, and increasing job opportunities. He noted that the budget aligns with the country’s aspirations and aims to benefit all sections of society.

A key highlight of the budget is its support for the Make in India initiative, which promotes innovation, self-reliance, and the growth of local industries. Tamang praised the central government for its commitment to national progress and acknowledged Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership in shaping a stronger and more inclusive India.

The Chief Minister pointed out that the budget prioritizes economic growth and social welfare. It introduces initiatives that will help create employment, empower women, support farmers, and improve opportunities for the poor.
