Sikkim: Gangtok's District Administrative Centre Unveils Modernized Systems and Infrastructure

GANGTOK: The DAC in Gangtok marked the most important step by inaugurating advanced systems and upgraded infrastructure on January 16. The flagship event of the district was led by Kala Rai, MLA Burtuk and Advisor to the Rural Development Department who initiated several major initiatives aimed at improving public service delivery.

One of the impressive highlights of the inauguration included the launching of a Renovated Single Window System and a Token Management System. Both of these have been groomed to ease work request management and offer greater operational efficiency. During her visit, Rai greeted the window cell staff and emphasized the need for professionalism to be exercised in the delivery of public service. Additionally, District Magistrate Tushar Nikhare discussed the new technologies' user-friendly design and emphasized its function in maintaining transparency.

DAC complex was beautified by placing historic photographs of the administrative evolution of Sikkim. New offices for the Sub-Divisional Magistrate and Assistant Collector were launched and reflected the district's intent to reach greater levels of governance.

Another innovation introduced during the function was the Online Leave Management System, which would eliminate paper-based workflows and increase the productivity of an organization through a digital interface.

Rai appreciated the cooperation of the officials of DAC in bringing about this change by assuring them that the new systems would improve administration and service delivery. This event marks a new chapter in the evolution of Gangtok's administrative framework, reinforcing the district's dedication to modernization and effective governance.
