GUWAHATI: City Cricket Club stormed into the final of the 7th Assam Premier Club Cricket Championship defeating Navarang Club by 88 runs in the second semi-final at Nehru Stadium today. The final, scheduled for Saturday, will see City Cricket Club face Bud Cricket Club.

Riding on an unbeaten 94-run knock from Rohan Hazarika, City Cricket Club, after being invited to bat first, posted 241/7 in their 40 overs. Rohan faced 87 balls, hitting 13 boundaries. Contributions also came from Romario Sharma (28), Hiyan Kashyap (27), and Sanjib Barman (26). Among Navarang’s bowlers, Rudrajeet Deka, Biplab Saikia, and Chandan Roy picked up two wickets each.

In response, Navarang Club struggled and managed only 153/9 in their 40 overs. Dhruv Bishnoi remained unbeaten on 63 (4 fours, 2 sixes), but lacked support from the other end. Sidharth Sarmah delivered a brilliant bowling performance, taking 5/20 in 8 overs and Mayukh Hazarika collected 2-26. Biplab Saikia (37) was the other notable contributor for Navarang.
