GUWAHATI: City Cricket Club and Gauhati Town Club (GTC) registered commanding victories in the GTC Men’s Summer Challenge T20 Trophy matches held at Judges Field here today.

In the first match, City Cricket Club defeated Navarang Club by 67 runs. Batting first, City Cricket Club posted a total of 137 for 8 in 20 overs, with Siddhartha Sankar Baruah top-scoring with 45 no (4X2, 6X5). In response, Navarang Club crumbled under pressure and were bowled out for just 70 runs in 16 overs. The standout performer with the ball was Sidharth Sarmah, who delivered a match-winning spell of 5 for 12.

In the second game of the day, Gauhati Town Club (GTC) thrashed Bud Cricket Club by 9 wickets. Chasing a target of 130, GTC comfortably reached the mark in just 14.5 overs, losing only one wicket. The star of the match was Sumit Kashyap of GTC, who played a blistering knock of 81 off 51 balls, smashing six boundaries and seven sixes to lead his team to victory in style.
